About Geography Quiz Game
Geography Quiz Game is a free quiz site covering all 193 UN member countries, their capitals, their flags, and the 50 US states. No accounts, no downloads, no paywalls. You land on a page, you’re playing within seconds, and your scores and streaks stay on your own device.
Why this site exists
The geography quiz sites we grew up on earned their popularity with substance, and their designs stayed in 2009. This site is the attempt to keep the substance, the full country coverage, real map-clicking, honest difficulty, and give it speed, touch-friendly maps, and a design that doesn’t fight you.
Accuracy gets particular care. Every computable fact on the site, every count, capital, area, and population, renders from a single verified data layer instead of being typed into pages by hand, so when the world changes, the whole site changes with it. The learn section explains the counting standards we use, right down to why “how many countries” has three answers.
Who’s behind it
Geography Quiz Game is built by Tim, a developer who ships small focused websites, and who has strong opinions about the Balkans being learnable in two evenings. More of his projects live at timmyships.com.
Spotted a wrong fact, a broken quiz, or a country where a country shouldn’t be? Email contact@geographyquizgame.com. Corrections are genuinely welcome; the data layer means most fixes propagate everywhere at once.

Frequently asked questions
Is Geography Quiz Game really free?
Yes, all of it: every quiz, every mode, the daily challenge, and the reference lists. The site is ad-supported, with no premium tier and no locked content. Nothing requires an account, because nothing about a geography quiz should require an account.
Where does the site’s data come from?
From a maintained data layer anchored to ISO country codes and UN membership, covering all 193 countries with capitals, areas, populations, and borders. Facts in articles that can’t come from that data are verified against primary sources before publishing.
Do you track my quiz answers?
Your answers, scores, and streaks are stored in your own browser and never sent to a server. The site uses standard analytics to understand overall traffic. The privacy page spells out exactly what that means in plain English.
Can I suggest a quiz or feature?
Please do: contact@geographyquizgame.com. Requests that keep recurring have a way of becoming pages, and bug reports about specific countries or capitals get fixed fastest of all, since they’re usually one data-layer edit away.
